Chetumal, Q.R. — A motorcyclist died Tuesday after being hit by a car in the El Bosque neighborhood of Chetumal.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. on avenida Centenario when a Volkswagen Jeta crashed with the side of a red motorcycle, throwing the driver of the bike into the windshield of the car.
Paramedics were on scene to transport the injured motorcycle driver to the General Hospital where he died.
According to Transit agents who attended the accident, the female driver of the car refused to exit her vehicle or cooperate with police and was eventually arrested after verbally and physically attacking police.
She has been delivered to the State Attorney General’s Office.
