Mexico City, Mexico — A batch containing 487,500 Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines has arrived at the Mexico City International Airport. The shipment arrived from Belgium and is the twelfth from the pharmaceutical company.
More shipments are expected to arrive this week and next. The Secretary of Foreign Relations Marcelo Ebrard announced that next week, 632,775 doses of Pfizer are expected as well as another 1 million doses of Sinovac on March 25. On March 29, Mexico is anticipating the arrival of an additional 500,000 doses of Sputnik V.
José Luis Alomía Zegarra, general director of Epidemiology, reported that nearly 6 million vaccines consisting of Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sputnik V, has been applied.
