Mexico gets another shipment of more than 2.7 million vaccines

Mexico City, Mexico — The Ministry of Health has reported the arrival of more than 2.2 million vials of AstraZeneca vaccines and another 500,000 from Pfizer. The shipment arrived in Mexico City from Amsterdam as part of the COVAX mechanism of the United Nations.

On Social media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marcelo Ebrard said “From Amsterdam 2 229 600 doses of AstraZeneca arrived at the CDMX Airport. It was wise to participate in COVAX from the beginning, now it is the vehicle for Mexico to receive these vaccines for people from 50 to 59 years old, good news!!”

Mexico’s Ministry of Health also announced the arrival of the Amsterdam flight saying “Until this day, Mexico has been able to access 37,693,275 of #Vaccines packaged against # COVID19. Of which 2,229,600 doses of #AstraZeneca from the #COVAX mechanism arrived this afternoon and in the morning we received 585,000 from @pfizer.”
