Mexico City — One person has been reported killed and another injured after a double-long semi flipped onto its side, landing on top of a compact car. The accident happened along the Naucalpan-Toluca highway in Mexico City 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to reports, the driver of the semi was heading toward Toluca when he lost control around a corner and overturned, landing on top of a private vehicle. The extended box of the semi hit a taxi. The driver of the compact car died instantly, while the driver of the taxi was reported injured.
Police cordoned off the area, while expert services carried out the removal of the body from the small car. Reports say the driver of the semi unit fled the scene. Members of the Attorney General of Justice of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) arrived to begin the corresponding investigations.
