Chetumal, Q.R. — A long awaited opening of the Mega Sculpture in Chetumal Bay was announced over the weekend. On Saturday, Governor Carlos Joaquín, along with his wife and dignitaries, made the official opening of the building’s recreational and cultural spaces.
The initial opening of the building has been done as a public space for events as well as for the public to enjoy its interactive museum. On Saturday night, the Governor of Quintana Roo cut the inaugural ribbon.
“It is a project that the city has been waiting for for a long time and will be part of the Boulevard,” he said adding that the building is also a high rate would tourist product that is different from any other in the country.
“This change is intended to impact social and economic development by improving the urban appearance to attract investment, taking advantage of the built heritage as a tourist attraction,” said Joaquín.
