Cancun, Q.R. — Two more men accused of being the masterminds in the murder of a Cancun taxi union member have been arrested. On Monday, the State Attorney General reported the arrests of the two men who are accused of plotting the October murder.
“The detainees are identified as Salomón “N”, alias “Mafer”, and Óscar Antonio “N”, the events for which they are investigated occurred on October 25, when the victim arrived, aboard a taxi, to his home. At that time, two people who got out of two vehicles deprived him of his freedom.
“The lifeless body of the victim was found after a field search on October 30 of this year, in a green area of the Federal Highway Cancún-Mérida,” the FGE stated.
“Salomón “N” was arrested in Supermanzana 228, while Óscar Antonio “N” was arrested while he was walking through the Parque de la Equidad located on 20 de Noviembre between Chac Mool and Kabah in Supermanzana 221.
“According to initial investigations, they would be the masterminds behind the murder. Elements of the Investigative Police of the FGE of Quintana Roo, as well as the SSyPC, the Navy, the National Guard and the Citizen Security Secretariat of Quintana Roo participated in the arrests,” they added.
Last week, Jonathan Emmanuel “N” was arrested for his alleged involvement as a suspect in the murder of Cancun taxi union member José Luis Corral Morales.
