Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A suspect in the death of a Puerto Aventuras woman was taken into police custody Thursday. Jonathan “N” was arrested “due to his alleged participation in events that could constitute the crime of qualified homicide against a female person,” the State Attorney General (FGE) reported.
Jonathan “N” was taken into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant as the suspect in the January 28, 2024 murder of a Puerto Aventuras woman.
According to the FGE report, “the now detained person identified as Jonathan “N”, was arrested for events that occurred on January 28 of the current year, when the victim, a female, was leaving the invasion neighborhood “Los Sauces” in the town of Puerto Aventuras.
“The woman was allegedly intercepted on a dirt road where Jonathan “N” deprived her of her life. The victim’s body was located on March 5.”
No further details about the motive or the victim was provided. Jonathan “N” remains in police custody.
