Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal plaza shopper was left for dead in a parking lot Thursday after being shot during an altercation. Several police officers were at the scene of the late evening shooting where they found the man had been shot numerous times.
Parking lot witnesses who called 9-1-1 told responding police that two men were in the middle of a heated argument when one pulled out a gun and fired. The shooter is alleged to have pulled the trigger at least five times before fleeing.
The shot man was still alive when SSC police arrived at the scene, but died before paramedics could help. Medical personnel pronounced him dead in the parking lot.
Chetumal officials have not released official information regarding the parking lot murder, however, FGE personnel did arrive to collect evidence and begin an investigation.
