Mahahual, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver was pronounced dead Thursday evening in a single vehicle accident in Mahahual. The male driver was killed after skidding his bike and hitting a large tree.
Witnesses who saw the driver lose control and hit the Almond tree stopped to help.
The accident was reported around 6:30 p.m. on Sardina Street near Barracuda Avenue in central Mahahual.
Personnel from the town’s health centre arrived to provide first aid, however, the driver had already died.
The motorcycle driver has been identified as 26 year old Aberlardo “N”. Witnesses reported seeing him suddenly swerve and lose control of his motorcycle. He was thrown from his bike and into the tree.
State Rural Police remained at the accident site to arrange for the removal of the body.
