Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal home was completely gutted by fire Monday after an argument between at least two people. Firemen arrived at the scene of a fully engulfed home on Managua Street in response to a 9-1-1 report.
At the scene in the Américas III neighborhood, firemen worked quickly to stop the fire from spreading to other homes. When they arrived, flames had already begun to shoot out windows that had broken due to the intense heat.
A group of residents gathered outside the house while firemen worked to put out the fire. The tenants of the burning home were reportadly arguing with a neighbor when, moments later, the inside of the house was seen in flames.

Everyone inside the burning house was able to get out. Firemen did not report any injuries in the single home blaze, only extensive material damage. The dispute that led to the blaze was alleged between two neighbors.
According to preliminary reports, one of the people involved in the argument may have started the fire intentionally. Authorities have urged the tenants to file a complaint with the Quintana Roo Prosecutor’s Office in order to start an official investigation into allegations the fire was intentionally set.
