Chetumal, Q.R. — Chetumal Transit officers were at the scene of a four vehicle crunch in the city center Friday. Police were called to the intersection of Insurgentes Avenue and Javier Barros Sierra Street where the four vehicles collided.

According to initial reports, a Ford Ranger pickup truck and an MG car were initially involved after one driver ran a stop sign. Two other vehicles passing through the intersection at the time also became involved.
State Traffic officers cordoned off the area to sort out the mess. The westbound lane of Insurgentes Avenue was closed more than an hour while the four vehicles were towed and broken car debris removed from the public street. Only minor injuries were reported.
