In Section 2 from Escárcega to Calkiní, in the town of Ruiz Cortines, Campeche, it is progressing with the manufacture and laying of subgrade prior to the beginning of the work on the final layers of the railway platform.
“In Section 3 from Calkiní to Izamal, we continue with earthwork, with activities such as the shaping of the embankment, in Cacalchén, Yucatán.
“Also, in Euán, we continue the construction of vehicular crossings with steel assembly activities and trestle assembly in Chochoh, both places in Yucatán,” the agency explained.
Fonatur added that in Section 4 from Izamal to Cancún, it is advancing with the formation of the underlying and subgrade for the Kantunil-Cancún highway.
The statement indicated that Fonatur is also progressing on that same highway with the laying of the second asphalt layer along with the construction of more than 10 vehicular crossings that will maintain connection between the towns.
