Cancun, Q.R. — A police operation in the Lombardo Toledano neighborhood of Cancun Sunday resulted in five arrests. Those taken into custody are believed related to the deadly parking lot shooting that took place last week in a Riviera Maya theme park parking lot.
According to preliminary information, the 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening operation by the Investigative Drug Unit included a home search in SM 75 of Cancun where inside the house, police located 50 kilos of drugs, two handguns and the five now-detained.
The five men were said to being hidden in the home when the search was made. Police located all five which lead to the arrests of those believed related to the shooting that left one national tourist dead and one taxi driver injured.
