Cancun, Q.R. — The State Attorney General (FGE) has announced the arrest of two suspects as the alleged hitmen of Yucatecan businessman Eduardo “M”. Taken into custody in relation to the murder are Mario José “N” and Tito “N”.
According to the FGE statement, their initial investigations reveal that Mario José “N” was the man who allegedly pulled the trigger and shot the driver while he was aboard his vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead behind the wheel of his car.
Authorities have also reported that both men have criminal records. Mario José “N” alias “Noble” has a criminal record for robbery, firearm possession and domestic violence, while Tito “N” has a criminal record for robbery.
Their arrests took place Thursday. Both men were taken into custody from aboard a stolen motorcycle in coordination with the Secretariat of Citizen Security. According to the FGE statement Friday, Mario José “N” and Tito “N” were arrested in relation to “the qualified homicide against a professional person.
“The first investigations reveal that Mario José “N” was the man who allegedly shot the professional victim when he was aboard his vehicle, taking his life in SM 316 of Cancun,” they reported.
Authorities have not commented on a motive for the deadly shooting.
