Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Two men have been taken into police custody from a home in Puerto Aventuras. Both men are accused of being connected to homicides in the municipality of Playa del Carmen.
Their arrests took place during search of the home in the Nueva Generación subdivision of Puerto Aventuras Wednesday. The pair, identified as Secundino “N” and Ana Cycely “N”, were arrested by agents of the Federal Ministerial Police of Quintana Roo.
According to investigative sources, they are believed connected to several homicides in both Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras. During the search, authorities seized a variety of drugs including several kilos of marijuana, crystal meth, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and pills.
Also seized were high-caliber weapons including assault rifles with loaded magazines, 9-millimeter pistols, dozens of live cartridges, as well as tactical uniforms and camouflage clothing. The home was secured as part of the investigation opened against the suspects.
