Chetumal, Q.R. — A fatal accident Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of a Chetumal delivery driver. The man was found deceased after colliding with another vehicle on Calzada del Centenario.
Witnesses stopped to help the driver while waiting for police and paramedics. Unfortunately, the motorcycle driver died at the scene.
Witnesses reported watching the delivery driver traveling through the area when he collided with a pickup truck carrying a load of furniture. The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. on one of the city’s busiest avenues.
Motorists said the motorcycle driver, identified as Abid “N”, was driving very fast when for reasons unknown, he hit the side of the truck.
Paramedics arrived at the intersection of Centenario and Mariano Angulo avenues where they found him laying on the street already deceased.
Authorities are looking into what caused the accident.
