Cancun, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver who tried to pass a car ended up colliding head on with another bike killing two people. The accident happened Monday on the Arco Vial in Cancun where two men were found dead.
Both of the victims, identified as construction workers, were riding toward Cielo Nuevo when another bike driver attempted to pass a car, crashing head on into the motorcycle carrying the two workers.
Both workers were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Police found the motorcycle alleged responsible for the crash at the scene twisted among the other motorcycle, but not its rider. The driver who caused the fatal colission fled the scene.
Police cordoned off the area while emergency services removed the bodies and cleared the street of the two motorcycles and scattered debris.
