Entire state of Quintana Roo rolls back to orange

Riviera Maya, Q. R. — Governor Carlos Joaquin says that the continued increase in Covid infections will see the entire state rolled back to an orange epidemiological light.

Starting Monday, the entire state will be set back. Currently, only the northern Cancun, Riviera Maya region is in orange, something Joaquin says will change next week. He says from February 8 to 14, the southern region of the state will join the north after the risk of contagion grew to 1.15.

Joaquin says adjustments will be made in terms of activity and business capacity due to the color rollback.

“We spent two months in yellow and with the prospect of having better conditions in the recovery, but it wasn’t like that,” said the Quintana Roo governor. He says to avoid rolling back even further, people need to adapt to the new habits, preventive measures and the application of protocols.
