Entire state of Quintana Roo reaches green epidemiological light

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — For the first time since the start of the global pandemic, the entire state of Quintana Roo has reached a green epidemiological light. On Thursday, Governor Carlos Joaquín announced that for the week of November 1 to 7, the entire state will be green.

The green light means a higher operating capacity rate for businesses, adding to the state’s economic recovery.

He again warns that the pandemic is not over. “The balance between health care and the gradual, orderly and responsible reopening of productive activities will allow for faster progress towards the new normal.

“There is still a lot of work to do so we cannot relax or lower our guard,” he said. As an example, he pointed out the state recorded eight covid-related deaths on Thursday after going days without any.
