Chetumal, Q.R. — A bakery delivery truck was reduced to a metal shell Tuesday after an afternoon engine fire. Chetumal firemen did their best to put out the fire, but were not able to save the small truck.
Company driver Luis “R” was in the process of deliveries when he engine began to smoke. Smoke quickly turned to flames that, within minutes, spread to the rest of the vehicle.
The fire was reported around 2:00 p.m. on Tecnológico de Tuxtla Street in the Magisterio neighborhood of Chetumal. Luis “R” was parked in front of a grocery store and in the process of a delivery when his vehicle caught fire.
There were no injuries reported.
