Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Eight people were left with injuries after a car and combi transport van crashed along the Federal Highway outside Puerto Aventuras.
The accident happened when a Kia car struck the back end of a Tulum passenger combi van. The car spun out of control, ending up stopped on the center ridge of the highway, while the van, which was also sent out of control, managed to come to a stop at the edge of the road.
The combi van suffered damage including the body and a broken front windshield, while the Kia car suffered more extensive damage to the passenger side.
In total, eight people, six adults and two children, were reported injured. Several ambulances arrived to transport them to area hospitals.
