Mahahual, Q.R. — An early morning fire in the town of Mahahual has left at least one family without a place to go. Local firemen were called by neighbors in colonia kilómetro 55 Friday after flames began to emerge.
The burning home was located at the intersection of Camarón and Buenfil street. Despite efforts to save it, the home was completely destroyed. Made of wood and roofed with sheet metal, the modest home was quickly engulfed by the fire.
Firefighters were able to prevent the raging flames from spreading to other homes. There were no injuries reported. Local authorities have not speculated on a cause for the early morning fire.
