Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Authorities responding to the report of an overturned vehicle in Puerto Aventuras arrived to an empty truck. The company pickup was reported laying on its side early Friday morning.
Police arrived to find the Ford Ranger had been abandoned by its driver after driving off the overpass. The motorist mishap happened around 7:30 a.m. Other motorists who saw the truck fall off the bridge called emergency services.
National Guard Highways were left to deal with the toppled truck that left one southbound lane closed. Police continue their search for the driver.
