Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal cyclist was taken to hospital Thursday after being hit by a car that kept going. Paramedics arrived at the site of the accident around 3:00 p.m. after passing motorists made the call.
The unidentfied man was located in shock along the side of the highway outside the Chetumal airport. He was able to tell police that he was riding his bike when he was hit by a car that threw him to the pavement.
Rather than stop, the driver of the car kept going. The cyclist was taken to Chetumal hospital to have several injuries treated.
