Chetumal, Q.R. — Chetumal Transit officers were called to Erick Paolo Avenue Monday evening where a city cab landed on its roof. Residents who heard the commotion watched as the taxi came to a stop in the middle of the street.
The single vehicle accident was reported near the corner of Tecnológico de Tuxtla Avenue around 8:00 p.m. According to Chetumal police, they arrived to find the taxi driver and two passengers still inside the cab.
Paramedics treated all three at the scene for minor injuries. Police cordoned off the area while a tow truck removed the damaged car from the street. When the taxi was being towed, on-site authorities said they were investigating since they did not know the official cause for the overturn that also left two parked cars damaged.
