Dozing driver cause of four vehicle crash outside Puerto Aventuras

Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A driver who reportedly fell asleep at the wheel was one of the injured in a four vehicle accident. According to early information, the driver of a Tsuru slammed into the back of a taxi along the federal highway 307, which caused it to crash into two vans.

Several people were injured in the four vehicle crash. The taxi was parked outside a Rivera Maya hotel on the south side of Puerto Aventuras when it was struck by the alleged dozing driver of the Tsuru.

The impact caused the taxi to be pushed into the two parked tourist transport vans head of him. The taxi driver was taken to the hospital with a serious head injury. Details on the injuries of others were not provided. There was no word on charges.
