Chetumal, Q.R. — Pharmacy customers held an alleged mugger for police after he was reported for stripping a woman of her belongings. The citizen arrest happened in the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood of Chetumal Sunday.
Residents involved in his detainment said the man had threatened an elderly woman inside the pharmacy before mugging her. Other customers from inside the pharmacy who saw what happened subdued the man.
He was held by the group until police arrived. The unidentified thief was taken into custody and placed in the back of a cruiser while the woman had her belongings returned.
