Chetumal, Q.R. — Chetumal police are investigating the finding of two bodies on a dirt road in the Villas neighborhood. The bodies were discovered on Tuesday morning and reported to local authorities by a 9-1-1 call.
Officers responded to the anonymous report about the bodies of two men found off Oaxaca Street. Both bodies were reported found with signs of physical violence.
The men were found dumped on a narrow dirt roadway off a main street used as an illegal garbage site.
Police are investigating their identification against the list of known missing persons reported in recent weeks.
Reports say authorities are investigating the deaths as possible revenge killings between rival criminal groups.
