Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A coworker of a young woman whose body was recently found near Puerto Aventuras has been arrested. The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office reports the arrest of Carlos G on the afternoon of December 30.
According to the FGE, police have identified Carlos G as the subject who probably participated in the deprivation of life of the victim, Ana G, whose lifeless body was located in a green area of hotel property along the Tulum-Playa del Carmen highway.
Part of their investigation included material collected from a surveillance camera. The FGE reported that as a result of the analysis of the evidence collected, sufficient evidence was found to determine the probable participation of Carlos G in the femicide killing of Ana G.
The body of the 21-year-old woman was found December 28 on the property of the Hard Rock Hotel where she worked as a security guard. Her father had reported her missing December 18. The FGE says that Carlos G, who has been arrested in her death, also worked as a security guard for the hotel.
