Cancun, Q.R. — Despite the rain and cool temperature, hundreds of people lined up outside a Cancun covid testing site Tuesday. The kiosk, which was installed in the Villas del Mar residential area, exceeded its daily quota before even opening.
The mobile medical testing centre, which is able to provide 200 tests a day, had already exhausted that figure before medical personnel arrived at 3:00 p.m. Lines for testing began earlier in the day by those who suspected they had the virus.
Of the 200 tests completed Tuesday, staff from the mobile medical centre reported 50 of those tests returned positive results.
