Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — At least 10 construction workers were reported injured after the pickup truck they were in overturned. The pickup was located by Transit authorities laying on its passenger side facing the wrong way in the highway’s left lane.
Police and ambulances were sent to the scene outside Puerto Aventuras where nearly a dozen people were found scattered along the side of the highway. It was around 7:45 a.m. when passing motorists reported the accident that left the truck overturned and workers from the bed tossed onto the road.
Elements of the National Guard were part of responders along with paramedics who attended to the injured. Some of the injured were transferred to hospital. The cause of the accident is not known.
