Conagua workers in Chetumal protest in national movement

Chetumal, Q. R. — More than two dozen Conagua workers from the Chetumal office protested outside their building Wednesday in support of a national movement. Employees from the National Water Commission (Conagua) Chetumal joined the national movement in support of the failure of general working conditions.

On Wednesday, access to the building was blocked by unionized personnel demanding compliance with the general working conditions that included a suspension of the hiring of additional workers and benefit payments, among other grievances.

The National Union of Workers are in talks to resolve the ongoing issues, however, unionized workers say they will continue with their work stoppage until a suitable response has been received.
