Civil Protection meets with Tulum Airport authorities

Tulum Airport — State officials have met with Tulum Airport authorities to coordinate actions in the event of an emergency or natural disaster.

To coordinate strategies and action actions to face emergency situations or natural disasters, the General Director of the State Coordination of Civil Protection (COEPROC), Guillermo Núñez Leal, participated in the meeting with the security forces, firefighters and medical emergencies at the Felipe Carrillo Puerto Tulum International Airport.

He explained that this meeting was to coordinate and work to guarantee the application of protocols for the safety of citizens.

“This meeting stands as a significant milestone, fostering a close relationship between the airport authorities, with SEDENA, SEMAR, CONAFOR, SESA, the Fire Department and COEPROC in order to optimize resources and action protocols, allowing fluid communication and agile decision-making in the event of an emergency,” he said.

Núñez Leal, pointed out that this joint commitment reflects a proactive vision towards security as Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has been marking through the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo and where collaboration between the airport sector and the government is established as an essential pillar to face unforeseen challenges and safeguard the integrity of the population.
