Chetumal, Q.R. — A woman was killed Friday when she was shot several times in a targeted drive-by attack. Witnesses to the shooting reported to 911 that the woman was walking down Tórtola Street in the Nuevo Progreso neighborhood when she was shot at.
In response, police arrived at the scene around 7:00 p.m. where they found the woman dead. She was found laying on the concrete street after being hit by bullets five times.
Two subjects on a motorcycle who are alleged to have shot her fled and have not been arrested. Police have not commented on the identity of the now-deceased woman.
