Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal woman died Monday morning after losing control of her scooter. The accident happened on a darkened section of Bahía Boulevard.
Police responding to the report of the single vehicle accident arrived to find the woman deceased. However, paramedics were requested who arrived only to confirm her death.
According to early information, the woman lost control while traveling on the wet roadway. She fell from her bike and skidded for several meters before coming to a stop on the center median. She was found laying next to a metal city pole.
