Chetumal, Q. R. — A two vehicle collision in Chetumal left a taxi with extensive damage. The accident happened Sunday between a tourist and a taxi driver when, according to witnesses, the driver of the taxi attempted a roadway U-turn.
While doing so, he failed to notice the oncoming truck. Both collided with the taxi being the most damaged of the two. While the pickup that was driven by a Belize tourist hit a light pole, he suffered mainly bumper damage.
It was the Suchaa city taxi being projected into a tree that left the front passenger side of his car partially sheered off. The taxi was carrying three passengers at the time of the accident. Only minor injuries were reported.
