Chetumal, Q.R. — Local authorities are continuing to investigate the death of three people in the city of Chetumal. Early reports indicate that a member of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) killed two people inside a private home Tuesday night.
Police were called to a home on Sicilia Avenue and San Salvador Street where three people were found dead. Of those found inside the home, one is reported to have been a man who was with the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC). A second deceased is reported to have been his wife.
Local reports say the state transit officer, identified as Donaciano “N”, killed his wife and a second person, another man, inside the house before turning the gun on himself.
Personnel from the State Attorney General (FGE) were on scene late into the night Tuesday in response to reports of the 10:30 p.m. residential shooting.
Security sources have confirmed that three bodies were found inside the home. There are reports that the home where the shootings took place was the residence of his wife.
It is unclear if the Dirección de Tránsito officer lived at the home where the three bodies were found. Local officials have not yet released an official statement.
