Chetumal, Q.R. — A man shot to death in Chetumal earlier this week has been identified. On Thursday, 31-year-old Edrey “I” was killed after being shot four times while leaving his home.
The daytime shooting happened in the city’s Centenario subdivision. He is reported to have been the victim of a targeted attack. Police were alerted to the sound of gunfire by area residents at 10:20 a.m. Thursday.
They arrived to a dead body. According to reports, the man had walked outside to leave his home when he was shot. A search operation for the four men reportedly seen leaving the home did not lead to any arrests.
Police did not provide a possible motive for the deadly attack.
