Chetumal, Q.R. — Police in Chetumal continue their search for a missing taxi driver who was kidnapped early Tuesday. The man was intercepted while driving with his son.
Four masked men are reported to have emerged from the vehicle that cut them off, forcing the father into their vehicle. The kidnapping was reported around 7:00 a.m. Tuesday in Los Palomos while the man was driving his 12-year-old son to his first day back to school.
The young boy was not taken hostage, nor was he injured. A Red Code police search began for the man. Authorities in Chetumal have not announced the arrests of any suspects.
