Chetumal, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver was left with serious injuries after being run over by a pickup. An ambulance was called to the intersection of Insurgentes and Constituyentes Avenues in Chetumal Thursday morning after the two vehicles collided.
The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. when, according to preliminary witness information, the driver of the truck allegedly ran a red light, colliding with the motorcycle. The motorcycle and its driver were left under the front section of the pickup after being pushed through the intersection.
Emergency services arrived to find the driver of the motorcycle laying on the road after being freed. He had been pinned under the front driver’s side tire of the truck. He was transferred to hospital in serious condition. Police arrested the driver of the pickup from the scene.
