Chetumal, Q.R. — A man was found dead in his car Thursday morning after apparently suffering a heart attack while driving. Noise from the impact of the car slamming into a tree startled area residents who informed authorities.
Neighbors ran out to assist the man, however, they found him unresponsive. Police and paramedics arrived to find the car, which was traveling along Belize Avenue, had left the road and driven up over a sidewalk where it crashed into a tree.
Inside the Chevy car was the deceased driver. The unidentified man is said to have been around 45 years old. While a heart attack has been said a likely cause for his death, he was transferred by the medical examiner for an official autopsy.
