Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal man and woman have been arrested on charges of sexual abuse and rape of a minor. According to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) Jorge “P” was arrested after allegations of three counts of rape between 2019 and 2022.
“The first investigations indicate that the events occurred inside a home in the city of Chetumal in February 2019 and two more times in December 2021 and April 2022, when Jorge “P” probably committed the crimes, taking advantage of family closeness with the minor victim,” the FGE detailed.
They added that “Ana “L” (mother of the victim), acted in support of the execution of the crime,” for which she was also arrested.
Jorge “P” and Ana “L” were arrested after other members of the family filed a formal complaint against them.
