Chetumal, Q.R. — Chetumal fishermen stumbled upon a floating body Saturday afternoon. The human remains were seen in a body of water near the Bicentenario area of the city around 3:00 p.m.
Both Municipal and State Police responded to the 911 report of their finding. With the help of Chetumal firemen, the body was retrieved from the water and brought to land for transfer to Forensics.
Authorities have not said if the body is male or female. An approximate age is also not known. An autopsy will reveal the official cause of death.
