Chetumal, Q.R. — Chetumal firemen were able to save a home after a fire on the second floor Sunday night. Firemen were sent to a home on Kingston Street in the Américas III neighborhood after a report of a fire.
The family were found on the street after running from their burning house. Paramedics arrived shortly after firemen. One person, a woman, was treated on site by medical personnel for smoke inhalation.
Firemen spent approximately 30 minutes extinguishing flames. An unofficial report of a short circuit in an upstairs room has been reported as the likely cause, however, authorities are investigating for the exact cause.
