Chetumal family morning interrupted by passing through dump truck

Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal family was forced from their home Monday after a dump truck crashed through their house. Chetumal police were called Monday morning when the truck took out a wall and collapsed part of their roof.

Before crashing into the house, the driver hit two cars and a fast food stand. Police found the front of the industrial vehicle inside the dining area of a private home on Chetumal’s San Salvador Avenue.

There were no injuries reported. Material damage was substancial. Paramedics were at the scene of the home where they treated the driver of the dump truck who reportadly had a seizure while driving.

Responding paramedics transferred him to a nearby medical facility. Transit officers were left with the task of clearing up the three car, one house accident in the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood.
