Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal driver who slammed his car head on into a tree was rushed to hospital in critical condition. The accident happened during the early morning hours of Wednesday when the unnamed driver lost control and hit a Ziricote tree.
The high speed impact of the hit caused the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, to be ejected through the windshield of his car. He was not wearing a seatbelt. First responders arrived to find him laying on the street near his vehicle.
He was rushed to the General Hospital of Chetumal with several life threatening head and chest injuries.
