Chetumal, Q.R. — An early morning single vehicle accident left two dead in the city of Chetumal. Firemen were requested at the scene Tuesday morning to free the trapped occupants of the car after it crashed into a large tree.
The accident happened at an intersection near Bahía de Chetumal Boulevard.
According to eye witnesses, the driver was speeding when he lost control at the intersection and crashed into a large tree.
The demolished car was found against the tree in the Avenue median. Both the man and woman inside the white Nissan were killed. The deceased have not been identified.
An investigation into the official cause of the accident continues.
