Chetumal cops investigating after two arrested for drugs found with bloodied car

Chetumal, Q.R. — Two men have been taken into custody on drug charges after being found in possession of pot and crack cocaine. According to a statement by the FGE, police arrested Antonio “N” and Ángel de Jesús “N” from the Lagunitas neighborhood of Chetumal.

Police saw the men exchanging bags of what was believed to be drugs, from a motorcycle driver. Police pulled their car over and found the narcotics during a search.

In their press statement, the FGE also said that arresting officers “noticed that the vehicle smelled of fresh paint and had bloody fingerprints on the door and rear right frame.”

When checking Plataforma México, they learned that the men were already in the FGE system regarding another investigation. Both men were arrested and made available to the relevant authorities for additional investigations.
