Chetumal, Q.R. — A failure in a CFE substation left hundreds in the dark Monday evening. Residents around Chetumal took to social media shortly before 8:00 p.m. to report the widespread power outage.
In response, Governor Carlos Joaquín González announced the suspension of the electricity service adding that that the Federal Electricity Commission reported that it was a fault in the Xul-Há substation.
Chetumal residents waited about an hour before electricity began to be restored in the affected areas.
