Chetumal, Q.R. — A Chetumal drug sales point set up as a car wash has been seized by police. The property was seized by the state Tuesday during an operation.
Authorities said on the property they found drugs and surveillance equipment.

The raid took place at a business on Erick Paolo Martínez Avenue in the Proterritorio neighborhood of Chetumal. The operation took place during off hours.
There were not arrests, however, the car wash was shut down and the equipment from inside also seized.
Police said they found the narcotics and cameras “in a property set up as a car wash located on Erick Paolo Martínez Avenue, Proterritorio neighborhood.”
Inside, “video surveillance cameras, DVRs, cell phones, dried green herb resembling marijuana and a pink crystalline solid substance were seized.”
Authorities said “at the conclusion of the proceedings, the searched property was secured and placed under the custody of the corresponding authority.”
